Unfortunately, one of the few original conceptions of the author, is a table in which a number of pieces of gross misinformation are clearly perpetrated. In this table (p. 14) no attempt is made to compare the effects of the various major addicting drugs: heroin is described as having no 'pronounced psychic effects on administration'. This is rubbish. But perhaps most bizarre is the statement in the footnote to the table, that LSD is 'anti-addictive'?this confused thought springs from the observation of the large tolerance that occurs in taking doses of LSD.
